Customer Declaration

Attending your pets appointment is an agreement to these terms and conditions. All dogs are required to be up to date with vaccinations and parasite treatments. Unvaccinated dogs may be at risk of being exposed to viruses and diseases and The Woof Wash will not be held responsible if this occurs. All dogs are required to be restrained while being groomed.

GDPR

Under new regulations all personal details entered into our digital diary system, online (via website, facebook, instagram and all other online portals) will be kept securely and will not be used to contact you regarding anything other than your pets grooming. Your data will not be shared outside of this premises.

Payment/cancellations/missed appointments 

The Woof Wash accepts Cash on drop off/collection and Bank transfer 24hrs prior to your pet’s grooming. All fees must be settled at the end of treatment.  

I respectfully request 48 hrs notice prior to your appointment if you need to cancel. Late cancellations may incur a surcharge at the discretion of the groomer and no-show appointments will incur a charge of 50% of your pet’s missed groom, paid before rebooking. Repeat missed appointments will require full payment prior to rebooking. 

Day-care

Although we would love to provide doggy daycare service, we do not have the space. If you cannot collect your dog at the agreed time or within 30 minutes of contact we will incur a charge of €10 per hour or part thereof for dog sitting.

Photos/videos 

Your pet may be photographed or videoed before, during or after its groom. Photos/video may be used on our social media/ online platforms. If you do not want this please let us know.

Products 

All our products are handmade and will have irregularities. Any custom or personalised items cannot be returned. Orders need to be paid in full prior to collection.

I hereby confirm that I understand and agree to all points stated above. By attending and proceeding with my pet’s groom I accept the above Terms and Conditions.  

Health  

Grooming can be a stressful event, especially for elderly dogs and those with health problems. Dogs may develop stress-related problems after a groom at which The Woof Wash will not be held responsible.In the best interest of your pet this agreement allows The Woof Wash, stop a groom and/or seek immediate veterinary care if it is deemed necessary.The Woof Wash will do its utmost to contact you first then take you pet to an authorised veterinarian or to the nearest veterinarian and it is agreed by you that all veterinarian fees will be covered by you, the owner.The Woof Wash will not be held liable for irritation, patchiness, hair-loss due to any pre existing skin condition or as a result of the process of grooming, de-matting, thinning, stripping, scissoring,shaving or any mis-hap caused by a medical condition or behaviour. 

Fleas/Ticks 

 If your dog has a flea or tick infestation we will ask that you reschedule your grooming appointment. Dogs with a flea or tick infestation carry a risk of anaemia, infections, tapeworms and other health problems. We recommend that you contact your veterinarian for advice on the best treatment for your situation.If fleas are found on your dog we will bathe your dog in a flea shampoo and we will require additional disinfecting of our premises , this will incur a €10 charge on your grooming bill. Ticks will not be removed. 

Behavioural 

Aggressive or Dangerous Dogs: Owners MUST inform us if your dog bites, has bitten or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures.A muzzle will be used at the discretion of the groomer.We reserve the right to refuse or stop services of your dog at any time before or during the grooming process whether behavioural or stress related.

An Aggressive Dog Fee of €10 in addition to the regular grooming charge will apply. If your dog should bite, the owner agrees to be responsible for any and all related medical bills, recovery costs, loss of income and equipment damage.

Matted Coats 

We do not de-matt neglected coats. This is very different to removing small knots, tangles and isolated matted hair from the coat which can be achieved quickly without causing anxiety, stress or pain. The health and condition of a dog’s coat and skin are the responsibility of the owner and the commitment is evident in the condition of the coat due to effective home grooming and temperament due to socialisation and training.In the event a dog requires a complete shave down/clip the owner needs to be aware that irritation may occur from the shaving process as well as uncovering nicks,cuts, abrasions or other potential problems including itchiness, skin redness, irritations,abrasions,also aural haematomas, post groom furunculosis, pyoderma- superficial or deep and/or pyotraumatic dermatitis. No dog will be subjected to stress or discomfort and all dogs will be groomed in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2013. We photograph/video all shave downs and may use these items as we deem appropriate. A complete shave down will incur a €10 additional fee.
